Barca are preparing for the 2023-24 season, paying special attention to their accounts. The club are doing everything in their power to comply with the 'Financial Fair Play' imposed by La Liga.
The 'Cules' economic vice-president Eduard Romeu explained that the viability plan that the club has presented to LaLiga is on the right track. "I am convinced that they will give us the 'o.k.' next week, I am not aware that there is much of a problem," he told 'Mundo Deportivo'.
In that document, he clarified, Leo Messi's name does not appear, although his return is the great dream of the 'Cules'. "We do not have it considered. We only talk about fixed photos, about certain things. The players who finish their contracts, we don't have them. Then it can happen that someone renews, but it is not established. It can also happen that the coaching staff intends to bring in people who are not at the club... We have to be conservative and realistic", he said.
And he stressed that, in order to sign the Argentine or whoever, Barca knows perfectly well what they have to do. "The viability plan is supported. If there must be additions, whatever they are called, there must be equivalent sales," he added.
