Leo Messi knows that Barcelona are interested, even though he's not yet received an official offer. He's seriously considering returning, but there's something which could take away that dream. According to 'Mundo Deportivo', the star wants to know if he'll be able to play in the Champions League, and is therefore waiting for a decision from UEFA on the 'Negreira Case' before deciding.

The Camp Nou are openly talking about Leo Messi. Barca have already put together a viability plan and is thought to have showed it to La Liga to balance their books with the Argentine in the squad.
The forward, whose contract with PSG is up in June, still hasn't accepted the renewal offer at his club. Therefore, Barcelona are optimistic about him going back.
Messi would be up for going back, in fact he'd prefer to stay in Europe over trying his luck in other league, like the MLS or Saudi Arabia. The Spanish giants was his home for a long time and he's thinking about going back.
Barcelona still haven't given Messi a formal offer, as they're waiting for the all-clear on their viability plan from the board. They'll put in the offer once they get it. But the attacker isn't in any rush to respond either.
'Mundo Deportivo' are claiming that the world champion wants to know if UEFA are going to sanction the Spanish side for the 'Negreira Case'. Ceferin opened an investigation on the club and Laporta recently travelled to Slovenia to give an explanation on the matter.
Leo Messi is sure he's got plenty more left in the tank. What he wants is to play in the Champions League and, in case Barcelona are punished, that option could be taken away from them. Everyone's very much awaiting what the organisation says.
In any event, Barca aren't worried about it all. They're optimistic and are hoping there won't be any sanction. Therefore, Messi's future could depend on UEFA.
