Barcelona could sell De Jong to land Man City star Bernardo Silva

The newspaper 'Sport' published on Wednesday morning that Joan Laporta's board will try to convince him to agree to a transfer this summer. Some Premier League giants and Paris Saint-Germain are both interested.
The fact is that the Dutchman has no intention of leaving Barcelona. He has already made this clear on several occasions over the years in which the press has had access to details of his contract, such as his salary or how it is distributed in the campaigns he has signed until 2026. He landed in 2019 from Ajax in a deal worth 86 million euros, after which he has always shown his commitment to the project.
Meanwhile, 'Mundo Deportivo' reports that the offices at Montjuic are eyeing a move for Manchester City's Bernardo Silva. The newspaper even claims that the player himself dreams of wearing the Barca shirt and agreed to renew as a Sky Blue last summer with a clause of 58 million, thinking that the 'Cules' board will be able to put them on the table if they can stick to the FFP when the window opens.
The deal may seem far-fetched, but it is worth bearing in mind that Ilkay Gundogan has already followed this Manchester-Barcelona route in the past when he was a mainstay of Pep Guardiola's midfield. After the Cityzens' elimination from the Champions League, which they won last season, perhaps the Portuguese might look forward to taking on new goals in a Catalan side that does not even know if Xavi Hernandez will stay for another season.
