The problems at Barcelona continue. The Catalan giants have only registered 13 players in La Liga. Moreover, journalist Gerard Romero reported on Monday that Marcos Alonso would leave the Spanish club this summer.
The Spanish journalist claimed that Xavi Hernandez's side made the decision because they need nine million euros to solve their Financial Fair Play problems. The Catalan side are willing to listen to offers to reduce their wage bill.
However, according to 'Sport', Barcelona will continue counting on the left-back as they are not considering the Spanish defender leaving the squad this summer.
There are still three weeks left in the summer transfer window and anything can happen in football. Ousmane Dembele, who has already reached an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain, is expected to be one of the Catalan side's next departures.
