Robert Lewandowski set alarm bells ringing when he limped off against Porto. Following tests, Barca have confirmed the extent of his injury: he has a sprained left ankle.
"Tests carried out this morning have shown that Robert Lewandowski has a sprained left ankle. He is out of action and his recovery will determine his availability," the 'Cules' club said in a brief statement.
As usual, the Catalan club have not confirmed how long the attacker will spend on the sidelines. What is clear is that he will not be available for La Liga game against Granada, which will take place on Sunday at 21:00 CET.
'Sport' is pessimistic about the No.9's recovery. It suggests that he could be out of action for around a month, which means he could miss 'El Clasico' against Real Madrid on 28th October. In any case, as the statement says, it will be up to the player and the medical staff to determine when he is ready to return.
