"Barcelona want me to renew until 2027"

Ousmane Dembele was talked about to be one of the contenders to leave Barcelona in the transfer window as the Catalan giants need to reduce their wage bill.
Nevertheless, the France international denied rumours of his departure and revealed that Xavi Hernandez's side are working on his renewal in an interview with 'Marca'.
"It's going very well. Barcelona want me to renew until 2027, my representative will talk to them. I am happy at the team, also at home, in Barcelona. We'll see what happens with the matter.
"I have been able to play many games. Before it was more difficult because I suffered many injuries. Now I'm happier because I'm playing a lot more. And I'm also happy with the team and with the people at Barcelona," he added.
"The last three years have been very difficult for everyone. He has given the team a lot of confidence. He [Xavi] has taken the pressure off the players because he is a man of the house and he knows everything that has happened at Barcelona very well, and he has taken a lot of pressure off us."
