The Barcelona board met with Deco at the start of this week to discuss the Brazilian market as well as to talk about Raphinha's future. The ex-Leeds star has not fit in well in Catalonia and the club are not at all happy with his performances.
Having said that, they think he needs a bit of time to adjust, although 'Sport' revealed that the Catalan side can completely go without the Brazilian. In fact, they know that they will get some offers for him in summer, mainly from the Premier League, and that the club could recoop the €58 million plus €7 million in add-ons which they invested in him.
When he arrived at Barca, Raphinha was an irregular starter and now, Xavi opts for four midfielders in the most important games, which is something that threatens the Brazilian, as Lewandowski and Dembele are undisputed starters.
However, it is hoped that in the second half of the season he will improve and that there will no longer be talks over his future from June, when the season ends. In the mean time, Raphinha will continue to try and shine like he did in England, but all options are open.
