Pau Cubarsi was one of Barcelona's biggest suprise packages last season along with Lamine Yamal. The Spanish center-back is the second most talked-about youth product among the 'Cules' fans after the 17-year-old winger.
That is why Barcelona sporting director Deco has also wanted to secure the young centre-back in the long term by offering him a new four-and-a-half-year contract, something he has already done with the likes of Pedri, Gavi and Araujo.
All documents are ready to be signed and the young prospect will sign his renewal in the next few hours, as reported by Spanish journalist Jose Alvarez of 'El Chiringuito de Jugones'.
Since making his first-team debut last season, Cubarsi has become one of the leaders of the Catalan club's defense, having made 60 official appearances, 52 of which have been starts.
