After getting through to the Copa del Rey quarter-finals by beating Ceuta 0-5, Barcelona are now thinking about the league game coming up. In fact, Barca boss Xavi revealed in the press conference after the game that he agreed with Ansu Fati that he would only play half an hour of the last-16 game so that the Spaniard can start against Getafe.

In the Copa del Rey game against Ceuta, Ansu Fati was brought on in the 60' minute for a worn out Ferran Torres and, ten minutes later, he scored Barcelona's third with a solo goal showing off three of the qualitites which characterise him and that since his injury have been reduced: his dribbling ability, his confidence to go forward and his talent in front of goal. After the game, Xavi announced that the striker will start on Sunday in the league against Getafe.
"We agreed that he was going to play half an hour because he'll be starting against Getafe", the Barca boss said in the post-match press conference. "He's back to being the Ansu we love", he added.
It was a surprise to see Xavi not include him from the start against Ceuta, especially considering his level has gone up in the last few games, particularly against Real Betis in the Spanish Super Cup semi-final when he scored a great volley in extra-time.
So far this season, Ansu Fati has only started six of the 26 games Barca have played. But, interestingly, he became the only Barca player to play a part in every match against Ceuta. The other one who had played a bit of every game was Ousmane Dembele, who remained on the bench for the first time at the Alfonso Murube Stadium.
He now also has a chance to start two games in a row as he has the chance to start against Girona in La Liga too. For both Getafe and Girona, Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres have been sanctioned. In the Pole's first game out for sanction, Ansu Fati started.
