Battle for Haaland's boots: Nike to pay €23m per year

Norwegian Erling Haaland, who had Adidas and Puma very much on his back, has ended up choosing to stay with Nike, the brand he ended his contract with on the 31st December. The company are going to pay him €23 million per year.

Haaland is one of the great international players. The striker is a real goal-machine and keeps stealing the headlines of the world's press every time he steps on the field.
The Norwegian is a very sought-after player and even more so since the end of his contract with Nike, the brand who have been in charge of his clothing since 31st December. There's been a real battle between Nike, Adidas and Puma for the last two months to get the striker and everything has been sorted.
After a series of trials and negotiations, the lucky ones, according to 'The Athletic', are the USA's Nike, who are going to still play a part in Haaland's wardrobe.
The source claim that Nike and the footballer are about to close the deal for the hefty sum of €23 million, a more than succulent offer.
You mustn't forget that the brand already have big-name players such as Mbappe and Ronaldo, with Haaland soon to follow.
