Saarbruecken caused one of the biggest upsets in German Cup history on Wednesday when they scored a late winner to snatch a shock 2-1 win against giants Bayern. They now have the chance to spring another surprise at home against 2018 cup winners and last year's losing finalists Frankfurt.
The last 16 draw also sends Borussia Dortmund">Borussia Dortmund to Stuttgart, for a clash of two of the Bundesliga's most in-form sides this season. Stuttgart are third in the Bundesliga, while Dortmund are fourth despite their 4-0 loss to Bayern on Saturday.
With Bayern out, Dortmund are one of the favourites for the cup, while Stuttgart are hoping to win the trophy for the first time since 1997. Current Bundesliga leaders Bayer Leverkusen will take on second tier Paderborn, while Hertha Berlin face fellow second-division side Hamburg in a battle of German football's fallen giants.
Fourth-tier Homburg, the lowest-ranked team left in the competition, will host second division league leaders St. Pauli. The last 16 games will take place on 5 and 6 December.
