Bayern Munich's board have been searching for a coach since it was announced that Thomas Tuchel would leave the club at the end of the season. But they have yet to find a replacement despite having an extensive list of candidates.
The Munich side have been interested in a number of names but have not managed to bring any of them forward. The last coach to be dropped from the list was Oliver Glasner, currently at Crystal Palace.
To this succession of rejections must be added Austria coach Ralf Ragnick, Xabi Alonso, who decided to remain at Bayer Leverkusen, and Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann.
The difficulty in finding a replacement on the bench has, according to 'Bild', prompted the Bayern board to meet. As a result, the possibility of Tuchel remaining in charge of the Bavarian club next season was one of the topics discussed.
Thomas Tuchel has a contract with the Munich club until 2025, so keeping him on is an option. The coach has already said in a press conference that "everything is possible" in reference to a question about his continuity.
