Bayern Munich have opened talks over Brentford's goalkeeper David Raya, according to journalist and transfer specialist Fabrzio Romano. Raya would play understudy for Manuel Neuer, the Germans' starting keeper, should Yann Sommer pack his bags for Inter Milan.

David Raya could be on the verge of the biggest move of his career. Bayern Munich have entered talks with the Spaniard's current Premier League side, Brentford, over a possible move for the keeper.
He would arrive to fill the role of backup keeper as Yann Sommer, the current understudy to starter Manuel Neuer is getting close to a move to Inter Milan to replace Andre Onana, who himself packed his bags for Manchester United.
Neuer also looks unlikely to be fit for the first day of the season, according to Florian Plettenberg, a journalist with 'Sky Sport'. The outlet claims that the captain is progressing as he should in recovery from a skiing accident, but that August 18th is too soon a date to see him in the starting eleven.
By then, if Sommer has already left and Alexander Nubel has already gone on loan to another club, the Bavarians will need another goalkeeper. Brentford are seeking £40 million to part with their keeper, who has been a starter since he joined the Bees from Blackburn Rovers four seasons ago.
