His former team Bayern Munich did not want to let him leave until a replacement for him was found. The midfielder did not quite fit in Thomas Tuchel's plans and has decided to leave the German club.
The former Ajax player has spent just one season in Munich where he has played 34 games in total, making just 6 starts and scoring just one goal for Tuchel's side.
In Germany they have already been looking for a replacement and the chosen one could be Fulham's Joao Palhinha according the latest reports from 'The Athletic'.
The 28-year-old joined Fulham from Sporting CP for 20 million euros. According to English sources, the London team have not yet received any offer and has no intention of selling the player.
