Bayern Munich postpone hiring new coach until after Madrid clash

Bayern Munich have yet to announce Thomas Tuchel's replacement in the dugout and their fans will have to wait even longer to find out. The club sporting director Max Eberl said after the Bundesliga clash against Eintracht Frankfurt that the official announcement of the new coach would have to wait until after the Champions League clash against Real Madrid.
"In the next two or three days, the focus will be solely on Real. Christoph and I will try to finalise things in the background. But it looks like it won't be before the first leg against Real Madrid," he explained.
He was also asked about one of the favourites to take over at the Allianz Arena, Ralf Ragnick: "He is an exceptional coach and someone who has always been on our list," It is worth remembering that there are reports that the current Austria coach is the Bavarian board's favourite.
"I know that a lot is being written, that there is a lot of speculation. Christoph and I are doing the coaching search. We have always said that we are talking to different coaches, exchanging ideas with the candidates. There has been no order and there is no list as people like to call it," he commented on the process of choosing a new coach.
