After seeing his transfer to Bayern thwarted at the last minute, Joao Palhinha has had to return to England, but perhaps not for long. Bayern Munich are willing to try to land him again in the next transfer window, which will open in January 2024.

It's a common occurrence that happens on the final day of the transfer window. Bayern Munich had intended to sign Joao Palhinha, but unfortunately the deal could not be finalised as Fulham failed to find a replacement for him before the deadline.
This situation understandably led to frustration on the part of the player, who had travelled to Germany to undergo a medical. However, according to the British press, the Bavarians have not forgotten the Portuguese and intend to make another move in four months' time, during the next transfer window.
The London Evening Standard suggests that the defensive midfielder is still in Thomas Tuchel's plans to strengthen his midfield, especially after the departure of Ryan Gravenberch to Liverpool.
Fulham, for their part, are not opposed to the departure of the former Sporting CP but only if they can find him a replacement.
