Bayern to face Champions League 'myth' Real Madrid, says Tuchel

If there is one club that strikes fear into opposing teams and is often the team to avoid in the Champions League knockout round draws, it is Real Madrid, who have lifted the trophy a record 14 times, including three straight triumphs in the 2015/16, 2016/17 and 2017/18 seasons.
However, another club with great prestige in the most important club competition is six-time winners Bayern Munich, who have been the 'Merengues' bogey team for many years despite the scales recently tipping in the Spanish side's favour.
The Bundesliga side coach Thomas Tuchel is well aware of the importance of their semi-final opponents in the competition and described the La Liga leaders as a ‘myth’.
"We are playing against Real Madrid, a legendary club, a myth. What do we need against Real Madrid? Tactics, luck. A good mix, balance. My players want to see a plan, an idea. They also need freedom. Let's not forget we need luck," said the German manager.
