Bayern issued a statement on Tuesday saying the Dutch centre-back injured his knee at the club's training camp in Portugal. Coach Thomas Tuchel confirmed on Saturday that de Ligt had overcome the knock.
"No concerns," Tuchel told reporters in Munich. "I have no reason to worry. He will start." England defender Dier will be included in the Bayern squad for the first time since his move from Tottenham, but will take his place on the bench.
Bayern sit in second place on the Bundesliga table, four points behind leaders Bayer Leverkusen, with a game in hand.
