The Borussia Dortmund-Mainz 05 clash drew much attention in the run-up to the game, with a 'black and yellow' flooding the gates of the Signal Iduna Park several hours before kick-off.
Once inside the stadium, the bees took centre stage and landed on one of the television cameras that was located in one of the stands of the stadium, which led to the evacuation of the fans and the press.
The visiting team reported this and even called the fire brigade. In the end, this invasion did not lead to any further setbacks and the match was able to start at the stipulated time.
As a curiosity, Dortmund's mascot is a bee and the 'black and yellow' institution took to their social media profiles to respond to Mainz 05's tweet: "Welcome to Dortmund".
