Real Madrid completed their first pre-season session at their training complex on Monday, under 39 degrees on a hot afternoon at Valdebebas, the first day as Real Madrid players for England's Jude Bellingham and Turkey's Arda Guler in training camps with the likes of Fran Garcia and Brahim Diaz.
Carlo Ancelotti had four of the five new faces in his squad for the 2023-24 season. In the absence of Joselu Mato, who is allowed to go straight to the United States on international duty, Real Madrid started with Bellingham, Guler, Fran García and Brahim as the main new faces.
After the morning medicals, which Guler did not have to complete after doing so on Friday before his presentation as a Real Madrid player, the players changed into their shorts to train at the Valdebebas training ground in sweltering heat.
Alongside them and two of Real Madrid's other five signings, Fran Garcia and Brahim, Andriy Lunin, who like Guler and Fran Garcia have given up 10 days' holiday to be there from day one, Lucas Vazquez, Alvaro Odriozola, Jesus Vallejo, Ferland Mendy, Toni Kroos, Dani Ceballos and Fede Valverde trained.
