The English national team sweated it out to advance to the quarterfinals of the European Championship against Slovakia. A match that Jude Bellingham sent to extra time, with an overhead kick goal in the 95th minute of the match.
After this, the English player celebrated angrily and dedicated some gestures, apparently, to the Slovakian bench. The footballer blew a kiss and ended up taking his hand to his privates. However, he himself, through his Twitter account, explained that it was for some close friends who were watching the match.
Despite this, this gesture or mistaken identity, which was not recorded in the minutes by the referee, could be costly for Bellingham. According to UEFA's own statement, the midfielder faces a possible disciplinary sanction for inappropriate conduct.
The document on disciplinary sanctions reads as follows: "In addition, a UEFA Ethics and Disciplinary Inspector will conduct a disciplinary investigation into a possible violation of the basic rules of decent conduct by the English Football Association player, Jude Bellingham, alleged to have occurred in the context of this match.
It has not been revealed what punishment the player will face, although he will almost certainly not be available for the quarter-final match against Switzerland. Undoubtedly, a tough loss for the national team of the 'three lions'.
There is already a precedent in this same Euro, as Daku, a player of Albania, was already punished with two matches for making political proclamations against North Macedonia, as well as Serbia.
