Bellingham receives 2023/24 La Liga Player of the Season award

Real Madrid is such a historic and successful club that arriving there from another club always requires a longer period of adaptation than at other clubs. Fitting in quickly at the ‘Merengues’ is something that is within the reach of very few, as is being seen with Kylian Mbappe, who is finding his first few months at the Santiago Bernabeu difficult.
However, the case of Jude Bellingham was completely different. The English midfielder arrived from Borussia Dortmund">Borussia Dortmund last season and had a flying start to his debut season with the Spanish side, breaking records set by Cristiano Ronaldo himself.
Ancelotti had earmarked a goalscoring role for Bellingham in the absence of a pure striker following the departure of Benzema, something that suited the English midfielder, who was a key player in helping Madrid lift their 36th La Liga title.
Thanks to his incredible performances and the 19 goals and six assists he provided in 28 games, La Liga has presented the Three Lions midfielder with the Player of the Season award for 2023/24.
