Karim Benzema is excelling again. The French striker has recovered from a string of injuries and has once again become one of the best in the world, to the point that in Real Madrid's last few games he has scored two consecutive hat tricks.
His contract with the 'Merengues' ends in mid-2023 and for now he has not reached an agreement to renew his contract. However, as reported by 'Marca', the French striker has no doubts: he wants to continue at the club for one more season.
In the last hours, a very important club from Saudi Arabia tried to convince him with a millionaire proposal, as it happened with Cristiano Ronaldo a few months ago. But with Benzema they couldn't. The Frenchman rejected the offer outright.
The 35-year-old striker does not rule out the possibility of playing in the Arab League and even founding a football academy in that country in the not so distant future. For the time being, everything seems to indicate that the striker will continue in La Liga.
Benzema wants to reach an agreement with the board as soon as possible and extend his contract for another year. The striker has it clear: he will try to complete no less than 15 consecutive seasons at the Santiago Bernabeu side.
However, given his age and the number of injuries he has had, Madrid will surely be looking for a replacement to take Benzema's place when the latter decides to end his spell at 'Los Blancos'.
