Galatasaray's board are keen to sign James Rodriguez for next season. The Colombian's contract with Olympiacos expires in mid-2023 and so far he has not reached an agreement to renew.
The possibility of the Colombian international landing in Istanbul is gaining momentum. According to 'Fotomaç', Besiktas, also from the Turkish capital, are in the race for the former Real Madrid playmaker.
James finishes his contract in just over two months and wants to start thinking about his next project. The Cucuta native's salary is in excess of 4 million euros per season and some Turkey sides are willing to pay that amount.
Besiktas are looking to strengthen their midfield position, with Dele Alli returning to Everton, Maxim has dropped down the pecking order, and the rest of the midfielders are not very attack-minded.
