Lamare Bogarde has started to take on a more important role at Aston Villa recently, having played more than 240 minutes in the Villans' last three games.
The 21-year-old midfielder started the win over Celtic and played the vast majority of the game in the 2-0 defeat to Wolves. The young Dutchman was used again by Emery when he replaced Konsa in the 27th minute in the FA Cup win over Spurs.
Bogarde is considered one of the Villans' young talents, and is therefore on the radars of Sevilla and Ajax, among other teams. However, Emery was keen to underline his player's great performance after the win over Tottenham.
"Lamare Bogarde played good again in FA Cup against Spurts. Shows consistency when we need him," said the Spanish coach. Furthermore, according to Fabrizio Romano, the English club is discussing the renewal of his contract, which currently expires in 2026.
