Brahim Diaz said that Real Madrid "demands that you give the maximum of yourself every day", predicted that next season "will be better", after his team won La Liga title and the Champions League in 2023-24, and appealed to each player to try to "be better" than the previous year "and to have higher objectives".
"The level of Real Madrid you know what it is, which requires you to give the maximum of yourself every day," the Spanish-Moroccan midfielder told reporters at the campus that bears his name in Malaga.
Brahim, 24, said he is "very happy to be there and that good players are coming, because this is Madrid" and they have to "have the best players in the world".
On the campus where boys and girls train in his hometown, he said that "it is a source of pride, something inexplicable" and that he "never" would have imagined, as he enjoys "being with them, without losing his humility".
He recalled that he was formed in Malaga and that he played, among other teams, for Manchester City and Milan, he considered it very important "to know" where he comes from and where he has arrived, and added that what he tries to instil in the boys and girls of his campus is that they "enjoy the moment, because football is about love and passion and giving the maximum".
"I'm very happy to be here with so many kids from the city where I grew up and was born, and very happy to see them so happy and the commitment they have. This is about togetherness, about learning what it means to play as a team, to enjoy themselves, to have that mentality, those values and that humility that they are given here," stressed Brahim Diaz.
