Brahim is still smiling in a Morocco shirt. It took the Spanish-Moroccan player three minutes to score a stellar brace against Gabon in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier, his fifth game for the Atlas Lions.
After Bouanga's fourth-minute opener, Walid Regragui's side responded with a goal from Harkass and two from Brahim. The Real Madrid player gave his team some peace of mind in a difficult start in the 20th and 23rd minutes.
His first appearance was thanks to a gift from an opponent. A corner from the right was deflected by a defender to the far post, where the playmaker stuck the toe of his left boot in to take the lead.
His second goal came soon after, also thanks to a set-piece. Ben Seghir slipped the ball into the box, Abde's near-post delivery was flicked on by Abde and Hakimi left the ball dead after a poor header. Brahim was on hand to poke the ball into the back of the net.
