Borussia Dortmund">Borussia Dortmund captain Julian Brandt has assured that his side are not heading to the Bernabeu to seek revenge for the Champions League final lost against Real Madrid last season, insisting that they are "different matches".
"People only talk about revenge, but the truth is that they're completely different matches. Real Madrid hasn't changed much, but we have. Now they have Mbappe and we were able to learn from that match. This is a new season, we have started with the right attitude, with trust, and we have seen what happened at Wembley," the midfielder said.
The Tuesday clash will, in fact, be Brandt's first time playing at the Bernabeu. "We are ready and we have a lot of confidence ahead of the game. We know that there will be an incredible atmosphere at the stadium, but we will also feel the support of our fans. We have to forget about their home advantage and play how we usually do," he explained.
"We can't allow them any breathing room because they have top players who are among the best in the world. The defence will be a big factor, but we don't just want to focus on it, we also want to get forward," concluded Brandt, who hopes to make it two defeats in a row for Madrid in the Champions League this season.
