Everton star Jarrad Branthwaite has made it clear that Everton are not looking to derail Liverpool's Premier League title bid. Instead, he is focused on securing a memorable win in the final Merseyside derby at Goodison Park.

The Everton defender wants a derby win but insists stopping Liverpool's title charge is not their focus. "No, it is just another game," he said. "It is obviously a big game, but we are going there just looking to win and put on a performance, not only for the fans but for ourselves.
"You can see the sort of change we have had in the past three/four games, so hopefully we just continue that," he continued.
Everton could move 12 points clear of the relegation zone with a victory, while Liverpool are aiming to extend their lead at the top. The 22-year-old, who scored in last season’s 2-0 win over the Reds, hopes to recreate that performance and atmosphere.
"It is a massive game, and I think everyone knows how big it is,” Branthwaite added. “If you build it up too much, then you can fall under the pressure. We believe we can get a result, just like last season."
