Brazil do not confirm if Ancelotti has signed a pre-agreement
Brazilian Confederation president Ednaldo Rodrigues declined to say whether he has made a pre-contract with Carlo Ancelotti for 2024 or whether it is a verbal agreement.

Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) president Ednaldo Rodrigues said he was certain that Carlo Ancelotti will take over as the 'Selecao' coach in mid-2024, but refrained from disclosing whether the parties have signed a pre-contract, or whether he has received confirmation from the Italian.
"He is going to be (in the middle of next year in Brazil). You can be sure," he told dozens of journalists who surrounded him as he left a press conference given by coach Fernando Diniz, who has been appointed as Brazil's interim coach.
Rodrigues also said that the Real Madrid coach "has the right not to say what he wants", when questioned about the reasons for Ancelotti's continued denial that he has an agreement with the Confederation.
Although the Confederation has not formally announced either the hiring or the date the Italian would take over, Rodrigues told a television station on Wednesday that Ancelotti will lead Brazil through the 2024 Copa America.
Before Rodrigues was again vague in his answers, Diniz refused to give any information about Ancelotti's possible arrival on the senior national team bench.
"I'm not going to go into the Ancelotti issue. That's a matter for the (CBF) president. I'm going to talk about my style of play," Diniz told the press conference. "About Ancelotti I know what the plans are but I don't know how they are. You are going to have to find another way to confirm that information.
