Carlo Ancelotti could be Brazil's next coach. It is not even an open secret, but a reality recognised by several 'Selecao' players. In fact, the coach himself often jokes about it with players like Rodrygo and Vinicius. The fact is that, ahead of the Selecao's match against Morocco, the president of his Confederation, Ednaldo Rodrigues, spoke to 'Reuters' about it.
"Ancelotti is absolutely respected among the players. Not just Ronaldo Nazario or Vinicius, but everyone who has played for him. I really admire him for his honesty in the way he works and how consistent he is in his work. He needs no introduction. He really is a top coach who has many achievements and we hope he can achieve even more," he said.
"Ancelotti is not only the favourite of the players, but also, it seems, of the fans. Everywhere I go in Brazil, in every stadium, he is the first name the fans ask me about. They talk about him with great affection in recognition of the exemplary job he has done throughout his career," added the manager, who has yet to formally contact the Italian out of respect for his contract at Real Madrid.
"Let's have faith in God, let's wait for the right moment and see if we can make it happen while we look for a new coach for the Brazil national team," he said. Carlo Ancelotti's contract as 'Merengue' coach runs out in June 2024, but he may be reviewed at the end of the current season, in which he still has to fight for the Champions League and the Copa del Rey.
