Yankuba Minteh bagged a brace as Chelsea crumbled to a 3-0 defeat against Brighton on Friday in the Premier League. It is the second time in just over a week that Maresca's men lost at the Amex after their FA Cup exit.

The Blues held the majority of the possession but it was Brighton who closed the first half in front. Kaoru Mitoma broke the deadlock in the 27th minute marvellously as he brought Verbruggen's long pass down with a lovely touch, before getting Chalobah and curling the ball past Jorgensen. Minteh doubled the hosts' lead 11 minutes later. Colwill intercepted Mitoma's low cross but it ended up bouncing off Jorgensen and arriving to Welbeck, who left it for the Gambian striker to score. Chelsea's chances of at least clinching a point when Minteh scored again to put the game to bed just past the hour mark.
