Pedro Porro was on the verge of leaving the Portuguese league for the Premier League. The Spanish full-back, however, will not initially move from Sporting Portugal.
Negotiations between Tottenham and the Lisbon side have broken down with just 48 hours left until the winter transfer window closes at 11.59pm on 31st January.
'The Athletic' explained that the problem has come after the Portuguese side had breached the terms of the agreement reached between the two sides.
Pedro Porro had already said goodbye to the Sporting CP fans, in the last match he played, against Porto in the League Cup final.
With Pedro Porro remaining in the squad, the arrival of Hector Bellerin to the Lisbon outfit has also been put on standby.
