After a tumultuous season, Man Utd have guaranteed themselves a place in the Champions League next year, with one Premier League game to go. However Bruno Fernandes agreed with comments made by Ronaldo that the season has not been "successful", according to 'Mirror Football'.

Even with a place in the Champions League secured thanks to a convincing win over Chelsea on Thursday (4-1), it hasn't been a good enough season for Bruno Fernandes, according to 'Mirror Football'.
"It's a positive season, but not successful, because success is different for this club and for us players it has to be, too", he stated, "As players we're not happy just to get into the top four. We want more, we aim for more, because we believe in this team that there are enough qualities to go forward".
As well as their top-4 finish, Man Utd have won a trophy this year, taking home the Carabao Cup in February, and have the opportunity to secure more silverware, as they face Manchester City in the FA Cup final soon.
“We did win a trophy. We did get into the top four. Now we have another final, but whatever happens in that final will not change anything about the season", Fernandes added.
His comments are very similar to those made by former United player, Cristiano Ronaldo, who left the club halfway through this season. His verdict was that a club as good as United should not be satisfied with anything less than a top-3 finish, as the same outlet reports.
“I don't accept that our mentality be less than being in the top three in the Premier League", the Portguese interational said, "Manchester belongs to important things, so we have to change that. I don't want to be here to be in sixth place, or seventh place, or fifth place. I'm here to try to win, to compete".
