Real Madrid carried out their first training session in preparation for next Sunday's derby against Atletico Madrid at the Civitas Metropolitano with the main novelty of French midfielder Eduardo Camavinga, who completed part of the work with the group.
This is in line with the schedule announced last Monday at a press conference by Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti, who said: "Camavinga's plan is to train with the team from Thursday. We will rest him after the game on Wednesday and he will be available to play in the derby".
Until now, the French international had only been working on the pitch on the sidelines with the rest of the squad after suffering a sprained knee in training before the European Super Cup in Warsaw against Atalanta on 13 August.
It was a different case for his compatriot Kylian Mbappe, who had to withdraw early in the last game against Alaves due to a muscle injury in the biceps femoris of his left leg, which will keep him out of action for around three weeks.
As a result, his activity was focused on the recovery process from his physical problems, as was the case with his teammates Brahim Diaz, Dani Ceballos and David Alaba.
In terms of the day's training for the available players, it included exercises in the gym during the initial part of the session, followed by work on possession, control, ball control, passing and pressing, as well as a series of games on a small pitch.
