Frenchman Eduardo Camavinga did not finish Real Madrid's training session at the Municipal de Braga stadium, on the eve of the third matchday of the Champions League and five days before 'El Clasico' against Barcelona.
The French midfielder left accompanied by club doctors before the end of Real Madrid's final session at the match venue, the unusual Estadio Municipal de Braga.
Built to host Euro 2004 in Portugal, the stadium is located in a quarry in Braga and only has stands on the sides of the pitch. At one end is the rock wall of the quarry. It was the stage where Real Madrid closed the short preparation for their Champions League match, in which after winning the first two matches, they have the chance to take a giant step towards reaching the round of 16.
With the absences of the injured Thibaut Courtois, Eder Militao and Dani Ceballos, and without Arda Guler who stayed in Madrid to continue his recovery, Carlo Ancelotti led a brief session in which Camavinga's discomfort was confirmed.
The Italian coach had already announced in his press conference that he would be making rotations in his starting line-up due to a number of knocks and fatigue in some of his players.
Everything suggests that names such as Nacho Fernandez, Fran Garcia, Luka Modric and Joselu Mato will be new additions to Ancelotti's starting line-up, who was going to give Camavinga a starting place and, pending his development, will look for another option in midfield.
