Cancelo 'in love' with Barcelona

Joao Cancelo gave an interview for journalist Pedro Pinto's podcast and confessed how easy it was to adapt to his new club and spoke of his passion for the Catalan club.

Portuguese right-back Joao Cancelo said Thursday that it was "very easy" to adapt to Barcelona as he has always been a fan. He also said that being able to wear the Barcelona shirt is "a dream come true".
In an interview for journalist Pedro Pinto's podcast, Cancelo recalled that he has "always" been a Barcelona fan, especially of the 2009 squad, which he described as "the best team in football".
"I grew up watching the best team in football, which is Barcelona in 2009, and many of my idols played here. So it was easy to adapt, among other things because I really like the club, I really like the dynamics of the club and it has been easy, it has been very easy to adapt," he said.
The Portuguese full-back, who is on loan from Manchester City, said that when he left England, the Catalan side were always his "first choice", despite the club "not going through their best moment financially".
Cancelo has returned to Spain, where he spent four seasons at Valencia. after being left out of Pep Guardiola's plans at Manchester City. Even so, the Portuguese player highlighted the "winning mentality" of his former coach, who made him "much more competitive".
