Good news for Barcelona and for the football world. The Catalan giants have reported that Joao Cancelo has passed all medical tests, which have ruled out heart problems.
The Portuguese full-back was a last-minute absentee against Atletico Madrid because a heart problem had been detected in a family member, so the medical services decided that he should not be called up for further tests to rule out the possibility of it being hereditary.
"First-team player Joao Cancelo did not travel to Madrid last weekend for the match against Atletico Madrid on medical advice," the club said in a statement.
"Joao Cancelo has successfully passed the tests carried out under the supervision of the club's medical services and will join the Portugal national team training camp," he added.
