One of the players most loved and admired by the Madridistas is Carvajal. The ‘Merengue’ youth player, who was responsible for laying the first stone at Valdebebas, has earned this respect from the club, who are going to offer him the opportunity to decide his future.
This is what has been reported by the newspaper ‘AS’, which also points out that the club does not want to rush the Spanish international. The full-back's contract with Real Madrid expires on 30th June 2025 and it will be up to him to decide whether he wants to stay or if he prefers to leave.
At 32 years of age, Carvajal is already within the famous renewal policy for the over-30s: that of year to year. Lucas Vazquez and Modric agreed this summer to continue for another season, and maybe the next one will be the one from Leganes.
The full-back is already an icon at Madrid. He has 421 games under his belt in white, in which he has scored 13 goals and provided 60 assists. The Madrid newspaper reports that the club see him staying for another season, one in which he could make his debut as first captain if Modric leaves.
