Antonio Conte and Romelu Lukaku will be reunited. The Italian coach has his hands on the Belgian striker, as Chelsea and Napoli have agreed on his transfer.
Fabrizio Romano reported that the Napoli side are set to pay 30 million euros fixed plus another 15 million euros in add-on to bring in a striker who has been undervalued by the London outfit.
The two parties were destined to understand each other. The Blues needed to free up space in a squad full of players and the Azzurri needed a striker with the characteristics their coach wanted.
It is worth remembering that Conte and Lukaku already coincided in the ranks of Inter Milan, precisely in the best year of the Belgian striker of all those who have been in the transalpine competition.
Lukaku is expected to sign for Napoli until 2027. It remains to be seen whether the deal will be done in conjunction with a possible departure of Victor Osimhen or whether the Nigerian stays with Conte.
