Chelsea captain Reece James is set to return to the Blues' starting XI after almost three months. Manager Mauricio Pochettino confirmed that the right-back will start against Blackburn in their Carabao Cup last-16 tie.
"I can confirm he is going to start. The captain is ready. It's good for the team, it's good for him to start from the beginning. We can see after, checking always how he is performing," said the Argentinian coach.
In addition, Ezno Fernandez will also return to the squad after missing the Stamford Bridge defeat to Brentford. Mykhailo Mudryk remains unavailable for the London side against Rovers.
"Tomorrow, we will try to play with our best team. Some players we will need to rest because after Saturday's game we can’t take risks. But in general, we will try to play our best team," added Pochettino.
