Following rumours of a possible departure of England midfielder Connor Gallagher from Chelsea to Atletico Madrid, Blues officials have set to work to find a replacement for him should he leave London.
The La Liga side has agreed to a £ 34.1 million transfer with Chelsea but is waiting for the player to give the go-ahead to move to Spain to join Los Colchoneros.
After the EURO holidays, the England midfielder was told that he is not in the plans of new Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca so seeking a move away would be in the best interests of both parties.
Gallagher was a key figure in former Blues boss Mauricio Pochettino's plans and captained several games last season but that has taken a turn this campaign.
The Stamford Bridge offices are currently working to find a replacement for him and according to 'Sky Sports', it seems they have already set their sights on Matt O'Riley, who plays in the Scottish league for Celtic Glasgow.
