UEFA have taken action against Chelsea. Their Commission of Control, Ethics and Discipline found it necessary to fine the English side, who won't particularly feel the damage considering the financial situation of the Stamford Bridge side.
European football's organisation imposed an €8,000 fine on Todd Boehly's side. According to 'Mundo Deportivo', this figure is made up of €5,000 for fans on the pitch and €3,000 for the throwing of objects onto the pitch, which included a flare.
Chelsea had a great game in the second leg of the Champions League last-16 against Borussia Dortmund. Graham Potter's side ended up sinkig Edin Terzic's with goals from Raheem Sterling and Kai Havertz.
All this comes as the side are preparing to face Real Madrid in the quarter-finals. The Blues will visit the Santiago Bernabeu on the 12th April and will host the 'Merengues' six days later in London.
Chelsea will have to cough up a sum which is very little in comparison to the €600 million they have spent on transfers this season: 290 last summer and 330 in January.
