Chelsea fined €10m for irregularities under Abramovich
Chelsea were handed a €10 million fine by UEFA on Friday, after the organisation released the findings of its investigation and concluded the club had submitted "incomplete financial information" from the era when they were owned by Russian magnate Roman Abramovich.

Chelsea have agreed to a 10 million euro fine by UEFA as compensation for incomplete financial information submitted to the organisation from 2012 until 2019, when Roman Abramovich was the owner. The body remarked in its statement that Todd Boehly's board "proactively" provided the documents that have helped resolve the investigation.
The fine has reportedly settled the affair, and the Blues will face no other sporting sanctions, unlike Juventus who also saw themselves fined by the European organisation. The Italians face a €20 million fine (half of which is suspended) but have also been banned for a year from European competitions.
Chelsea, having finished 12th in the Premier League last season, will not feature in any European tournaments anyway next season.
The statement released by UEFA read that the new (Boehly) ownership "identified, and proactively reported to UEFA, instances of potentially incomplete financial reporting under the club’s previous ownership. The reported matters related to historical transactions which took place between 2012 and 2019".
