Chelsea in talks over Ajax's Kudus

Following huge sales for Chelsea this summer, the Blues are now looking to add choice new signings to their squad. They're still interested in midfielders, but have reached a bit of a stalemate with Brighton over Moises Caicedo, as the Seagulls will not budge from their £100 million valuation.
Chelsea are therefore beginning to look elsewhere, and have held talks with Dutch side, Ajax, over 22-year-old Mohammed Kudus. The Ghanaian international could be more of a feasible option for the London side, as 'Daily Mail' report that he rejected an offer to renew until 2026, and has expressed that he would like to leave the Eredivisie side.
The young playmaker came into his own, after Antony left Ajax for Manchester United in 2022, scoring 18 goals and providing six assists in 42 appearances last season. He also impressed for Ghana at the Qatar World Cup, scoring twice in a 3-2 win over South Korea in the group stage.
Both fast and physical, he would bring more versatility to Chelsea's midfield, something that manager Mauricio Pochettino is keen on. 'The Athletic' reported that personal terms where close to being agreed with the player on Saturday.
