It's important to respect your coach, no matter what the situation. David Datro Fofana paid the price this week when his club Union Berlin suspended him for seven days.
The reason? The Ivorian, on loan from Chelsea, came off in a huff in the 69th minute of Tuesday night's Champions League match against Napoli, refusing to shake hands with his coach Urs Fischer before taking his seat on the bench.
The frustrated 20-year-old continued to make his presence felt on the bench, hiding in his shirt and showing his disappointment at having been substituted for so many minutes, even after the final whistle.
He will therefore miss the Bundesliga match at Werder Bremen and the German Cup tie at Stuttgart. As a result, Berlin will be without Fofana if they are to put an end to their dismal run of 9 defeats.
