Chelsea secure £11.5m deal for Gabriel's cousin from Corinthians

The 17-year-old left-back, who impressed during the prestigious Copinha youth tournament in Sao Paulo, will join Chelsea on his 18th birthday next year. He registered three goals and one assist in the competition, catching the attention of the London club.
Denner, who has yet to feature for Corinthians' first team, will sign a seven-year contract with the Blues. His move follows in the footsteps of his cousin Gabriel, the Arsenal centre-back.
Reports from Brazil confirm the family connection, with Denner having attended one of Gabriel's matches last year. Although Corinthians had hoped to retain the player and integrate him into their first-team plans, they were unable to reach an agreement on an improved contract.
Consequently, they agreed to sell him, ensuring a 15% sell-on clause in the deal to benefit from any future transfer.
Denner joins a growing list of young prospects heading to Stamford Bridge, alongside 17-year-olds Kendry Paez and Estevao Willian, both set to join the Premier League club later this year.
