Chelsea are making good use of South American leagues as they scout for young talent. Already this month, the Blues signed Ecuadorian rising star Kendry Paez from Independiente del Valle, who will join the Premier League team in two years when he turns 18.
In January, they signed Andrey Santos, who will join Chelsea for their pre-season this summer, and now the London club have agreed to sign his Santos teammate, Angelo, according to 'Daily Mail'.
The 18-year-old has been in the senior Santos team for two years already, making 129 appearances for the Brazilian outfit. As Chelsea are trying to avoid repeating their overblown squad, the youngster is set to join Strasbourg on loan immediately, the outlet reports.
Chelsea have purchased a majority stake in the Ligue 1 side, as they attempt to replicate the City Football Group's multi-club model. The club are also making sure to offload players as they bring in new ones, with several stars already making deals with Saudi clubs, and the latest, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, on the verge of completing a move to AC Milan.
