Chelsea's transfer rumours continue to circulate, as poor form has seen Pochettino's side drop to 12th in the Premier League table.
This means that despite making a huge cash outlay in the previous transfer window, the Stamford Bridge outfit will be looking to strengthen further in January. According to reports from English media 'The Sun', Chelsea scouts have Torino's Italian defender Alessandro Buongiorno on their radar.
The 24-year-old centre-back could leave for a fee of £35 million, having previously Torino turned down offers from other Serie A sides for £21.5 million. The Torino player's contract runs until 2028, so the club could demand a large amount for the player without selling him for a modest fee.
Roma coach Jose Mourinho has publicly shown his admiration for the former Carpio player who has also attracted interest from clubs such as Juventus and Inter Milan. The player is also one of Italy coach Spaletti's favourites and has already been called up to play for the Italians for the second time.
