Englishman Jude Soonsup-Bell, a 20-year-old striker trained in Chelsea's youth academy and who until now, was in Tottenham Hotspur's U21 team, is a new player of Cordoba, which, in the current season, competes in La Liga Hypermotion.
“Cordoba CF is pleased to announce the addition of the young and talented Jude Soonsup-Bell to the 'Blanquiverde' discipline. The highly sought-after English player signs for two seasons with the possibility of an extension,” the club announced in a statement on Thursday afternoon.
Jude (born January 10, 2004 in Chippenham) “is a versatile attacker, capable of playing in all attacking areas. His speed, dribbling ability and goalscoring ability make him a valuable addition to the team. Last season, he managed to score 12 goals, demonstrating his efficiency and versatility on the field,” the statement adds.
Cordoba's new striker has been capped by England at youth level and played his last game for Tottenham Hotspur U21s last Friday in a 2-1 win over Chelsea's League 2 reserve team.
Jude, who made his debut for Chelsea in an official EFL Cup match in 2021, joined the Blues as a youngster and worked his way up through the youth ranks, scoring 18 goals in 18 appearances in the 2020-21 season, which led to him signing a professional contract in January 2021 and making his professional debut shortly after.
However, after failing to break into the first team, Jude Soonsup-Bell decided to move on and signed for Tottenham Hotspur's youth team last season, where he scored 12 goals to help Spurs win the Premier League 2 title.
